Parts
Here we will list the parts we need in our project.

We use Mbed as a controller to control the operation of the temperature regulator.

This is the major part we use to adjust the object's temperature. It is the Peltier cooler. The dimension of this cooler is 40mm*40mm. The nominal supply voltage is 12V, and the nominal power is 60W. When the cooler operates, it will do cooling on one side and do heating on the other.

We use the dual H-bridge circuit to drive the Peltier cooler. It is because the cooler need higher supply voltage than the Mbed can provide. And also we need to implement two operation modes of cooling and heating by reversing the current direction.

The heak sink is used to take away the extra heat it generate on one side to guarantee the quality of cooling operation.

The fan is responsible for the acceleration of the heat exchange between the heat sink and the air.

The temperature sensor is used to monitor the temperature of the object and the temperature of the heat sink. Then two of these sensor are necessary. The data is sent back to Mbed through I2C bus, and then sent back to ATOM PC through USB connection.

The power supply we use is Agilent E3634A.
