Edit Menu Details
 
 

    Undo command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to reverse the last editing action, if possible.   The name of the command changes, depending on what the last action was.  The Undo command changes to Can't Undo on the menu if you cannot reverse your last action.

    Cut command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to remove the currently selected data from the document and put it on the clipboard.  This command is unavailable if there is no data currently selected.
    Cutting data to the clipboard replaces the contents previously stored there.

    Copy command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to copy selected data onto the clipboard.  This command is unavailable if there is no data currently selected.
    Copying data to the clipboard replaces the contents previously stored there.

    Paste command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to insert a copy of the clipboard contents at the insertion point.  This command is unavailable if the clipboard is empty.

    Paste Special command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to instert and embed an object, such as a chart or equation, from the clipboard.  This command is unavailable if the clipboard is empty.
 
 

    Select All command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to select the contents of the entire open document.

    Delete command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to delete any highlighted text or objects.  If nothing is selected, this option is unavailable.

    Find command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to find the next occurrence of any specified character or string in an open document.

    Find Next command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to repeat the last Find.  If there was no previous Find, this option is unavailable.

    Replace command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to find the next occurrence of a specified character or string and replace it with a different value.

    Go to line command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to jump to a specified line number..

    Insert New Object command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to insert and embed an object, such as a chart or an equation, in a document.  The Insert Object dialog box will appear, giving a list of object types which may be inserted.
 
 

    Links command (Edit menu)

    Use this command to list and edit links to embedded objects. If no linked objects are present in the current document, this option will be unavailable.
 
 

    Object Properties command (Edit menu)

    Displays the properties of a selected embedded object.  If no object is selected, this option is unavailable.

    Object command (File menu)

    Use this command to activate the selected embedded or linked object.  If no object is selected, this option is unavailable.
